Q: How can I be sure the fish you use are sustainable?
A: Our fish are certified sustainable by the Marine Stewardship Council, an independent non-profit body with rigorous standards to certify that fish populations are harvested at rates that ensure their abundance for generations to come.
Q: How do you manufacture your products?
A: Our multi-patented technology & ingredient system, SEAVIOR™, gently and sustainably converts food-grade fish into our unique products, which include APP - A Perfect Protein®, a highly nutritious protein powder, and APO - A Perfect Omega®, an ultra-pure omega-3 fish oil.
Q: What makes your manufacturing so sustainable?
A: In traditional land and plant protein manufacturing, huge amounts of arable land, fresh water, chemicals, pesticides, enzymes, acids, and hormones are used to either care for or harvest the protein source. In contrast, our revolutionary SEAVIOR™ system uses no fresh water, pesticides, enzymes, or arable land. That means more land to grow our fruits and veggies, a lighter burden on our scarce water supply, and a more efficient food system. Our eco-friendly facility in Livermore, California is the first of its kind in the world, producing low-to-zero waste and a miniscule carbon footprint. Q: Is your facility HACCP compliant?
A: Yes. HACCP Stands for Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point, and it is an internationally recognized system for reducing the risk of safety hazards in food. This includes biological, chemical or physical hazards. The Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) has benchmarked several Food Safety Management System Certification programs that are HACCP compliant, all of which are HACCP-based.
Q: Which GFSI recognized food safety certification does your company have?
A: We are SQF Certified. SQF is a GFSI recognized food safety certification used to control food safety risks. Created and managed by the SQF Institute, the process is audited and certified by a third-party certification body, and the Food Safety Certification requirements provide a rigorous system to manage food safety risks, and our customers can have confidence that we have a rigorous food safety system in place and that the products we produce are safe for the food industry.
Q: Do your products contain GMO's?
A: No, our products don’t contain GMO’s. All our products are derived from a single ingredient – wild-caught ocean fish that have never been genetically modified or commercially raised, and they do not come into contact with any GMO’s in the manufacturing process. APP® and APO® are both Non-GMO Project Verified products.
Q: How does the Non-GMO Project verification process work?
A: The Non-GMO Project is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building and protecting a non-GMO food supply. Verification is a rigorous process that annually examines a product's ingredients, sourcing, and manufacturing process to ensure that everything from the supply chain to the final consumer product is free of GMOs.
Q: Are your products organic? 
A. No. Our products are made solely from wild ocean fish that have spent their entire lives in the wild and are not grown, farmed or raised, meaning they are actually better than organic! Wild-caught fish are naturally free of artificial hormones, antibiotics, fertilizers, pesticides, GMO’s, and other synthetic materials. Our products aren't certified organic because organic food is grown, farmed or raised.
